How do I add a timeline graph to my report?

graph, timeline, coverage, engagements,

Written by Will Oates

Timeline graphs visualise your coverage numbers and key metrics over time.

You can choose which metric to display and customise how the graph looks, so you can highlight the data that's most useful to your report readers.

You can also add more than one chart, if you want to visualise more than one metric!

How to add a timeline graph

Open the Overview page of your report.

Click Add a block, then choose Add timeline graph. That will create a new graph for you to customise.

Customise your graph

Use the options at the top of the graph to change what's displayed:

Name

Give your chart a name by selecting the pen icon next to 'Coverage Timeline'

Metric
Choose the metric you want to show. You can choose from:

  • Coverage count - The number of pieces of coverage over time

  • Views - The views the coverage received over time

  • Engagements - The number of engagements over time

Time period
Choose how you'd like the data to be grouped, by day, week, month, or year.

Chart type
Choose between Line chart or Bar chart

Colour
Choose a colour for your graph. If you have a workspace brand colour set, then it will default to that colour.

Once you're happy with how everything looks, click Save.

Your timeline graph will now appear in your report and will be included when you share the report online or as a PDF. We'll also include it in your template, so any graphs will be copied over when you make a template from your report.
