Sometimes Instagram will block us from getting data or an image embed back from their platform. This is usually where there's privacy settings enabled on the account, or Instagram has flagged the content as age appropriate.
When this happens you might see an error message like the ones below to let you know the post isn't available.
This is usually where:
The post or account is set to private, so it can't be viewed unless you follow the account.
The account owner has disabled embed links from working outside of Instagram, so you can only view the content directly on their platform.
The content is age restricted (references to alcohol, tobacco, adult content etc). Instagram looks at a logged in users profile to work out their age. We can only access content as a non logged in user so any restricted posts may not be possible for us to collect. If you're able to view the post in your account try logging out and seeing if you can still view it. If not, its likely to be restricted.
Adding images manually
In some cases we may still be able to collect some basic account info from the post like the account name, followers and engagements. You can manually add an image of the content to any clip. Click on the 'add/edit media' button above the screenshot to add your own content. Check out our FAQ on this here.
You can also setup an influencer's outlet profile and add their posts or video content to your reports (like Instagram Stories). Here's how.
