Track which PR activity led to your coverage

What tactic or action led to your coverage? Adding PR activity tags helps you record what drove each piece of coverage. For example, a mention might come from a product launch, an event, a thought leadership piece, or feature a key spokesperson.

Adding this context gives you a clearer way to group coverage by the activity behind it, not just by when it appeared or where it was published.

This is part of our wider set of analysis features including coverage type, brand prominence and sentiment.

How to tag the PR activity for your coverage

When you're editing a clip in your report, click on the 'tag this coverage' button.

Select all the activities that apply to this piece of coverage. Click save to add the tags to the clip.

Hover over each tag to see a more detailed explanation.

You'll see these tags appear below the metrics. They'll show in the shared report, PDF, and in the CSV.

Can I hide the tags from showing when I share the report?

Yes, if you prefer not to show each activity tag in the shared online report or PDF, you can choose to hide them. Go to the Overview tab, and the Settings menu.

Click the toggle to hide PR activity tags from all coverage in your report.

You can still view the tags when editing the report in your account, and they'll show in the CSV export and in your coverage vault filters so you can use those for deeper analysis.

Can I search my coverage and filter it by PR activity?

Absolutely. Head to the Coverage tab in the top left of your main menu.

You'll now see a list of all your coverage in one place, and you can use the filters on the left to search for clips tagged with a PR activity. You can also filter by folder, report, and over a date range to refine your selection to a specific campaign, client or timeframe.

When you've got a filtered list of results, you can create a new report just with those clips in, or add them to existing reports. You can also export the data to CSV for further analysis (available on Silver and above plans).

Can I export PR activity data to a spreadsheet?

Yes. If you click on the share page of any report in your account there's also the option to export to CSV. You'll find all the tags you've added in the PR activity column.
